It seems my band is having a rather big shake up, partly due to circumstance and partly due to our insatiable desire to explore new avenues of creativity :)

Last week I mentioned the fact we'd added the wonderful Kate Riley on Vocals/Violins and now we have settled on the equally wonderful Benny Frear Wilson to replace Doink on the drummy things come the new year. It'll be sad to see Doink go, he's been with us a long time now, but it seems to be what he wants so good luck to him. I'm excited by the new blood to tormen....I mean work with.

Just got back from recording a Raw Talent session for BBC radoi Hull/Leeds/York/others rather later than expected due to tyre failure :(
Not content with just delaminating the tyre decided to send debris flying into the underside of the van and bugger the fuel delivery system as well.

However, the radio session went fantastically well and the addition of a female vocal/violinist worked even better than I could ever have expected - much potential to be explored for the future. I think my plans for tomorrow morning will have to be postponed though, I could do without spending any more time on a motorway hard shoulder for a while.....

This is my first entry on live journal and it comes very late at night / early in the morning as many of them probably will. Today was the aniversary of hurricane Katrina hitting New Orleans as I have been discussing with a friend who lives there. If her comments are anything to go by it seems the city will recover and it's future is in good hands. (I hope that isn't too embaressing for you if you read this Taryn).

That's all I have to say today I think, here's to New Orleans a great monument to arts and culture.
